Facecam Update
Here's a quick update on the facecam. In the Elgato Camera Hub software, there's an AI Background Blur feature that slightly blurs the background, and it looks pretty good. It effectively separates me from the background. I think I'll continue using the facecam, but I still want to enhance it further.

Facecam Problems
I think the idea of using a facecam is great in principle, as it creates a more authentic connection with the audience, but with my current setup, there are a few problems. I've tried coming up with a solution, but I'm out of ideas.
My background consists of two blinds that I need to keep down, resulting in a rather dark room. This has left me feeling quite sleepy by the end of the day. I could raise the blind on the left side, but that would reveal my real-life location, which I'd prefer to keep private. And if I raise the blind and use my facecam, the natural light would be overpowering.
The space itself is problematic, and if I do use a facecam, I want it to look great. I've tried using a colored light to increase the brightness of the room and increasing the brightness on my key lights, but these haven't really helped.
I'm considering abandoning the camera once again and going faceless. If I do, I'll need to focus on the audio in my content to make my microphone sound better specifically.
I would lose the flexibility of using a camera in my content, but from my research, many creators don't use cameras, and they are doing just fine.
What should I do? 🤔 Thanks for reading.
